Beim siebenundzwanzigsten FirleTanz wurde es gitarrenlastig, rockig und laut. Den Anfang machte die 2-Mann-Band Old Mrs. Bates, die auf einem einfachen Konzept, welches man z.B. von den White Stripes kennt, basiert: Gitarre/Gesang und Schlagzeug. Mit bluesigen, teils schweren Gitarrenriffs, gepaart mit rhythmischen Drums, bei Passagen von ruhig bis aggressiv, präsentierte sich das Duo mit einem engerievollen Auftritt top motiviert. Etwas ruhiger ging es anschließend der Singer-Songwriter Bo Candy gemeinsam mit der Band Broken Hearts an. Pop-Rock, der teilweise schon an Britpop erinnerte, mit verträumten Gitarren und charismatischer Stimme, stand am Programm. Nicht zuletzt durch die unterstützende Begleitung der Broken Hearts spannte die Viererformation den Bogen bis zum fulminanten Ende des 27. FirleTanzes mit Nikolaj Efendi & His Temper. Wie schon beim 18. FirleTanz mit Roy de Roy brachte Nikolaj Efendi, diesmal mit "His Temper", all seine Musikalität, kulturellen Einflüsse und eine tolle Band auf die Bühne. Mit Texten auf Englisch und Slowenisch über Widerstand und Abschied, war es wieder ein Konzert, das man an Intensität und Energie nur schwer übertreffen kann.


FirleTanz #27, dirty, rocky, loud

At the twentyseventh FirleTanz it got guitar-driven, rocky and loud. The 2-man-band Old Mrs. Bates opened the evening with their simple concept, that is known from bands like The White Stripes: Guitar/Singing and Drums. With bluesy, partly heavy guitar riffs, combined with rhythmical drums and with smooth to aggressive passages, the duo presented themselves highly motivated during their energetic performance. A little calmer it continued with the singer-songwriter Bo Candy and the band Broken Hearts. They played Pop-Rock, that partially reminded of Britpop, with dreamy guitars and a charismatic voice. Not least because of the support of the Broken Hearts, the four musicians entertained the audience perfectly until the brilliant finale of the 27. FirleTanz, performed by Nikolaj Efendi & His Temper. Already at the 18. FIrleTanz Nikolaj Efendi impressed the crowd with Roy the Roy. This time he did a great show with His Temper and amazed once again with his musicality and the cultural influences in his music. With lyrics in English and Slovenian about resistance and farewells, it again was a concert, that couldn't be beat in its intensity and energy.
